All sorts of chaos and love.

byJosef Kote

Seeing this work makes me want to have my Painting class already. But yeah, the first sem has not even ended yet and I’m already excited about my painting class next sem. Nope. Haha. Anyway back to the art piece… it’s not as beautiful as the normal paintings but it gives a whole lot different attack and it’s really really effective. I love the colors used and the style of painting too.

Glass Gem Corn, and other heirloom jewels of the corn cabinet.

What you’re seeing on your screen now isn’t just your ordinary corn. Well, it’s not painted or something, but it literally grew like this. It’s weird and I wouldn’t really eat a corn that would look like this. But it’s actually okay to display something like this. Anyways, it has actually made some kind of attraction to a lot of people especially the netizens.

Spontaneous City by London Fieldworks

I like how art has definitely a purpose in this world. This isn’t just your typical artsy installation around everywhere, but it also gives benefit to the city birds! Philippines should have something like this too… Haha!

Love = Love: Puzzle Photography by Kent Rogowski

I never really liked puzzles, especially those jigsaw puzzles where in it’s really really small and hard to complete. Well anyway the last time I played with jigsaw puzzles was when I was still in gradeschool. Haha. But yeah, this photo isn’t really that interesting at first because it’s just another normal puzzle played by a typical kid or even and adult, and all that… but looking into it makes me want to do jigsaw puzzles again. I noticed that the puzzles aren’t really right because it’s like two images are combined together that’s why it doesn’t really match. But at first, you won’t really notice it because it still looks good no matter what.

I found this e-poster in my friend’s facebook profile since she studies in UP. I honestly did not like this poster because first, the sponsors aren’t cohesive to the rest of the other elements in the poster. It’s just like it’s made for only a few minutes to hours just so all the sponsors are there. And second, I find the “Choco Mucho” panira at the header or title of the poster. But nonetheless, I like the image used as to how it’s edgy and classy.

Morganne Radziewicz - Passive Aggressive (2013) - Etching and aquatint

I suddenly remembered the exquisite corpse we had to do in our class. Although this one isn’t really that much of an exquisite corpse but it still is similar because it combines different drawings to a whole new meaning. It gives a meaning of being a human but having that animalistic side.

100 000 Miniature Porcelain Skulls by Nino Sarabutra

I am the kind of person who does not really like skulls and anything that is unlikely to see with my own eyes. But this made it so different that I would like to see something like this. I know it will give me real goosebumps but art is art and this is really interesting!

One of the few things why I really love scupltures. This is one fine art!!!! It’s so realistic and it’s perfect for the Halloween season since it’s October. Haha! I also want to learn or even do my own sculpture of anything. That would be really, really great.

*If you’ve never seen Villafane Studio's Pumpkin carvings before, here you go.

Ever since I became a sophomore, I became much more aware about street art because of my FA101 class and also when Herakut had a talk in Ateneo. People may think that street art is just some dirty weird vandalization on some clean boring wall, but it does give a lot of good meaning too!

Banksy is in New York

  1. A dog urinates on a new work by graffiti artist Banksy on West 24th street in New York City. Picture: Mike Segar/Reuters
  2. Three new works by the British artist have appeared in New York City this week after he announced a month-long residency in New York.

[Prompt Response]: Logo of yourself

I decided to make my logo my passion = wheels…. kidding. I used the front face of a lens because I am more inclined to photography and videography. I chose to make shutter (the device that opens and closes in the lens/camera) my logo instead of a camera because cameras are more common and the lens are more compelling.
